In this paper, we consider the problem of using CMOS matrices to record the transit of stars on a transit instrument. Reasoning is given that indicates the relevance of this task, as well as a project for the modernization of a transit instrument and the current results of work on the development of technologies for creating a modernized transit instrument. The paper also considers the problem of specific image artifacts and proposes a method for calibrating images that removes these artifacts. Keywords: image calibration, fixed-pattern noise correction.
